Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Malad has been conducting Utkarsha Mandir High School for educational & socio-economic enhancement of the students of Malad East and West. It is a great pleasure that the school completed 60 years & celebrated 60th year in 2015-16.
On the occasion of Diamond Jubilee Shikshan Prasarak Mandal is starting its Junior College for HSC Vocational Courses. Unlike traditional regular junior college our college will conduct the courses for the self employment and for creating the opportunities for the early employment. The college has been approved by Govt. of Maharashtra HSC exams will be conducted by Maharashtra State Board.
After completion of the XI-XII the students can take further education in graduation courses such as B.A., B.Com., BAF, BMS, Diploma in Engineering or can take training of one year in reputed company as an Implant Trainee / Apprentice. This training helps the students to good knowledge for getting employment or to start independent business.
From the vocational courses formulated by Government of Maharashtra among which Shikshan Prasarak Mandal offers following courses:
Computer Technology
Accounting & Financial Office Management
Tourism & Hospitality Management
Brief details of these Courses are as follows:
1) Computer Technology: –
In XIth & XIIth std of this course, the students will secure the profound knowledge of computer technology. This will make them specialized in the computers for quick employment or self employment. The students can take admission in 2nd year of Diploma Engineering or in Degree courses of B.A. / B.Com / BAF / BMS of Mumbai University after passing H.S.C. (Vocational).
2) Accounting & Financial Office Management :-
In the XIth & XIIth std this course, the students will be able to secure degree level practical knowledge of Accounting in Junior College level itself. The students will also become aware of the in depth functionality of office small & large scale business / entities. After completion of the course, the students will be able to work with any C.A. firm as a assistant. Also they can take admission to Degree College for B.Com / BAF / BMS.
3) Tourism & Hospitality Management: –
Tourism & Hospitality industry is growing rapidly. Hence several job opportunities are available in this service sector. The students shall be trained to work in Tourism & Hospitality industry. To facilitate this training, we have made training arrangements with reputed hotels. After completion of XII examination, the students can take admission in Degree College of Hotel Management.
All these 3 vocational courses will be conducted with English as medium of instruction.
The courses are designed to give practical knowledge to the students along with theoretical knowledge. The students shall get good experience of working conditions which will help them to get employment quickly and also to be able to gain self employment.
All these 3 courses will be conducted at Utkarsha Mandir Junior College, Mamletdar Wadi, Malad (West), between 7am to 2 pm. The students will be greatly benefited for shaping up their career in the field of their interest.
